Welcome to the world
A naming ceremony is the perfect way to declare your love and commitment to your child, to welcome them into the family and to introduce them to your wider community of family and friends. It’s my job to help you create and shape a ceremony that celebrates your new addition and reflects you as a family unit. Together we will explore song choices and readings, and any other special elements you would like to have. Remember, you can include any family members and friends as well as guide-parents in your ceremony – there are no restrictions! There are also beautiful symbolic elements available that will enhance the ceremony, for example naming ribbons, wishing jars or unity candle lighting.
WHAT’S INVOLVED?
I will arrange to meet you to hear the story of how your new addition has come into your life, to enable me to share that story with those present at your ceremony. After our initial meeting, I will write a draft ceremony, and meet you again to go through any amendments or changes you might wish to make. On the day, I will be available exclusively to you for 3-4 hours, and can help with equipment sound checks, greet guests and be on hand to reassure anyone who has a role to play in the ceremony. I will then deliver the ceremony, and after the event I will provide you with a keepsake copy of the ceremony script.
